• If you are a national of a Schengen area country, you do not need a tourist visa to Netherlands (the passport-free zone encompassing 26 European countries).

• A citizen of a European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), or Switzerland.

• Your country is not required to obtain a Schengen visa.

Citizens of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), and Switzerland are not required to obtain a visa or a residence permit to visit the Netherlands.

If you have a residence permit or a long-stay visa from another Schengen country, there is no need to get visa to visit Netherlands.

Furthermore, if you have a valid residence permit for Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Ireland, Romania, or the United Kingdom that states that you are a family member of a citizen from the EU, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland, or Switzerland, you do not need a Schengen visa for the Netherlands.

Only citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, and Serbia who have a biometric passport do not require a visa to visit the Netherlands.

If their ID card number is included on their passport Taiwanese citizens require a visa.

The countries that need a Schengen visa to visit the Caribbean parts of the Netherlands are the same ones that require a short-stay visa.

Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, St Eustatius, and St Maarten are among the Caribbean islands that make up the Kingdom.

A Dutch Caribbean visa, like a Schengen visa, allows you to spend up to 90 days in the Caribbean in a six-month period. A Caribbean visa, unlike a Schengen visa, cannot be used to travel to another Schengen country.

If you are simply transiting through the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom or are a passenger on a cruise ship, you will most likely not need a Caribbean visa.

You must apply for a long-term Dutch visa and a residence permit if you plan to stay in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom for more than 90 days.
