You can make your planned trip to India by obtaining an India visa. Foreign nationals can apply for short-term types of visas to India (tourist visa, e-visa) for temporary reasons (tourism, business, cultural, and other short-term purposes). If you want to stay in India for a longer period for any reason (e.g., work, study, etc.), you can also apply for a long term visa to India.

E visa India

Electronic Visa to India (e-TV) is an online method of obtaining a visa to travel to India.

Once you fill out the online application form and pay the processing fee, you will receive your e-visa by email within three business days.

India visa fee is $10 for 30 days of eVisa (April through June), $25 for 30 days of eVisa (July through March), $40 for one year of eVisa, and $80 for five years of eVisa (these may vary depending on your country and nationality).

India Tourist visa

A tourist visa to India is issued to applicants intending to visit India for tourism and sightseeing purposes.

If your nationality does not qualify for an e-visa to India, you can also apply for a short-term tourist visa to India to carry out your trip to India.

The fee for a tourist visa to India for foreign nationals is 25-100 USD (depending on the duration of the visa and nationality), and the average processing time for a tourist visa to India is 3-20 working days. It depends on the country where you are applying for the visa.

10 year multiple entry visa India

"Some nationals may be granted a multi-entry visa for a period of 10 years under the condition that "the continuous stay during each visit does not exceed 180 days and the registration is not required".

"A multiple entry visa depending on the visa type may be issued for 10 years for a while for some citizens with the condition that "continuous stay during each visit shall not
allow continuous stay during each visit shall not exceed 180 days, and registration is not required."

For citizens of other countries, depending on the visa type (except for citizens of 33 countries), a multiple entry visa for 5 years may be issued as an option by default. The issuance of a 5-year visa will be subject to the condition "Continuous stay during each visit shall not exceed 90 days. Also registration is not required". However, in the case of British citizens, the continuous stay during each visit should not exceed 180 days.

India visa requirements

Nationals entering India must have a valid passport with a valid visa from the Indian Mission/Post or an eVisa (Restricted Categories) from the Immigration Bureau of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
