10. England (36.9 million tourists)

England, the largest of the four countries that make up the UK, ranked 10th in our "most visited countries in the world 2019" list with 36.9 million people. With its distinctive atmosphere, music, culture, literature, and nature, the country continues to attract millions of foreign tourists every year. Apart from London, Liverpool, Manchester, and Birmingham are among the most visited cities.

9. Germany (39.4 million tourists)

Famous for its beer festivals, music festivals, and Christmas markets, Germany invites people from all over the world to entertain. Many young people who want to experience European city life and underground culture continue to prefer Berlin. Berlin also has the world-famous Berlin Wall and the Brandenburg Gate. Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Munich, where is famous for Octoberfest, are among the most visited cities that attract the most foreign tourists.

6. Turkey (52.5 million tourists)

Turkey took 6th place in the list of top 10 most visited countries in 2019 with its historical and cultural richness. Apart from Istanbul, the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts with their exquisite beaches and holiday villages attracted millions of tourists last year as well. Most tourists prefer to visit Istanbul in Turkey. Antalya is also one of the most beautiful cities in the world with its historical and natural beauties. Turkey's Antalya city attracts many tourists with its beauty, magnificent hotels, amazing sea coasts, and sunny beaches.

5. Italy (64.6 million tourists)

One of the constant conquerers of the heart of the world tourism, Italy, the pearl of the Mediterranean coast, home to the Colosseum, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, attracted more than 64 million tourists last year. This country adorns the dreams of all travellers with its world-famous cities, buildings, historical monuments, beaches, and tourist attractions. Venice, famous for its fairytale streets and canals, Milan, the heart of the fashion world, and Florence, which resembles an open-air sculpture museum, are among the most visited cities.

4. China (67.5 million tourists)

Spain, one of the largest tourist countries in Europe, known worldwide for its capital Madrid, Barcelona, its unique culture and art, the architectural style of its cities, and world-famous buildings, hosted more than 83 million tourists last year. Compared to previous years, the number of visitors to Spain has increased. Mostly Germans, Dutch and British prefer Spain. France has maintained its leadership in the list of the most loved and top 10 most visited countries in Europe and the world in 2019. Last year the country hosted more than 90 million tourists.

Paris, Nice, Bordeaux, Marseille, Lyon, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Palace of Versailles, the Seine, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, and many other tourist attractions made France the top choice for people again. The most visited city in the world is Paris, as most people expect.
